As the new lockdown looms we’re pleased to reassure you that we will be able to remain open this time round, so we will still be here for you for your routine and emergency needs to ensure you can maintain the healthy mouth you deserve.

It’s hard to believe more than six months have now gone by since East Park Dental had to close its doors and we were no longer able to see our lovely patients in person for almost 3 months. 2020 began with such promise of a great year ahead for us and none of us could have foreseen the turn of events that followed.

However, as a practice, we have remained strong and taken on the new challenges of providing care to you with the restrictions that COVID has brought to us all. Our priority is always to ensure the safety of our staff and patients and each step we have taken as we have opened up the practice has been done with careful planning and consideration.

Within dentistry we have the advantage that we are already used to managing cross infection control, we have all practised it from day one of our training so we are masters of it already! Along with our enhanced disinfection routines throughout the building, we now wear more PPE for more of the time so you won’t see our faces as much but we’re still smiling under the masks and visors.

Along with providing emergency care, we are currently carrying out routine appointments including dental health checks and hygienist visits. We are also able to carry out a wide range of dental treatments but with the current COVID risk level, there are some limitations such as non-essential cosmetic treatments. Any treatment recommendations are done with careful consideration of you as an individual and the balance of your need for treatment versus any risk factors. As government guidelines change our plans may have to change accordingly and we will keep you informed of developments.

If you are due your dental appointment and have not yet been contacted to book this in then please do get in touch. All the new regulations do put a strain on time within the practice so our diaries are busy but we’ll get you booked in as soon as possible. We are now running 4 of our 5 surgeries and we hope we will be able to get the 5th room up and running later in the autumn with some investment in new essential equipment and with careful consideration to ensure everyone’s safety.

For those members of the practice who are on our dental plan, we thank you for your continued support. We are aiming to look at your plan payments on an individual basis when you come in to make sure you get your full annual entitlement but if you do not feel this has been done then please do get in touch with us and we will sort this out for you.
