Like Jo, Chris qualified at Sheffield in the class of 2004, and moved straight to Northampton to work as a dentist, including some time at the local hospital. He joined East Park Dental as a partner back in 2013 and now acts as one of our principal dentists. Chris is always up for a challenge – personally as well as professionally – and as if to prove it, has stepped up from half marathons and ‘Tough Mudders’ to the London Marathon itself. When he takes off his running shoes, you’ll mostly find him with his beloved chocolate Labrador,Toby and the newest addition to the family, Paddington, the Golden Retriever. If you’re lucky you’ll see them peering through the window into Chris’s surgery from the garden.

After qualifying at Sheffield in 2004, Jo moved to Nottingham and began life in practice in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. She joined the team here at East Park Dental four years later, and became a partner in 2011. Today, she’s got her hands full with all her patient commitments and her 2 young children Benjamin and Ella. If she's really lucky and finds a little time you’ll find her out on the water in a dinghy at Pitsford or Draycote Water – or perhaps even sailing bigger boats on the South Coast. And when Benjamin and Ella are a bit older she’ll maybe manage to venture back onto the pistes!

North-East born Gemma is one of our highly qualified dentists, with degrees in both biomedical sciences and dental surgery. Following her move down to Northamptonshire in 2015, she’s worked in private practice and undertaken extensive training in orthodontics. Here at East Park Dental, you’ll find her involved in all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in prosthodontics, endodontics and orthodontics. When she’s not in the surgery she loves to be out and about walking with her husband, son and daughter.

Jelena qualified from The University of Belgrade (Serbia) in 2005 as the best student in her class. She completed a three-year Master’s studies in 2008 and a PhD degree in orthodontics in 2011 at the same university. Jelena worked at the School of Dentistry, University of Cardiff for several years doing research and mentoring postgraduate students. She published many original papers, presented research at international conferences, and became an expert reviewer for dental journals. In 2015, she received a major European Orthodontic Society award.

After a successful career in academia, Jelena returned to general practice and spent four years in an award winning private practice in West Wales, providing all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Jelena holds a Diploma of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and is also acting as the examiner for the College. More recently, she completed a two-year postgraduate programme in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

In her spare time, Jelena likes to read, make art and take photographs. Long walks in nature, theatre and museum visits, swimming and skiing also bring her a lot of joy.

Michael graduated from the School of Dentistry at Birmingham University in 2008 and spent 6 years working in a mixed NHS/private practice in his hometown of Northampton before moving to the North West in 2014.

Michael’s passion within dentistry is endodontics (root canal treatments) and he completed a 3 year postgraduate MSc in endodontics in October 2016, graduating with Merit. His calm and relaxed manner will put you at ease from the moment you walk in the door. This has enabled even the most anxious of patients to undergo advanced procedures.

Michael currently lives with his wife and their son, Elliott. He finds time to relax by running, walking, swimming, climbing, cycling or doing anything else that gets him out in the great British countryside.

Viren graduated from Birmingham University and went on to gain a wide breadth of experience from working in general practice, carrying out research and post-graduate training in hospital dentistry.

Viren then went on to become a Specialist Periodontist and has a particular interest in treating nervous patients with advanced gum disease, cosmetic treatment for gum recession and regenerative periodontics.

Viren enjoys many sports but particularly playing football, running and climbing. He also loves astromony!

Gurvinder qualified from the University of Birmingham (BDS(Birm)) in 2017. After working for a year in Northampton General Hospital and 2 years in mixed NHS/private practices, he joined East Park Dental in 2021 and hasn’t looked back. Having grown up in Daventry he has a deep-rooted connection to Northamptonshire and wants to do all he can to look after his patients from the region.

Gurvinder’s passion is for providing the highest quality in all that he does, aiming to make treatment as comfortable and pain-free as possible. He has a particular interest in aesthetic restorative procedures, including smile design, invisible fillings, crowns and veneers. He is also qualified to provide Invisalign © treatment, making him fully equipped to bring out the most in your smile!

In his spare time Gurvinder enjoys playing sports and games with friends and family. Other hobbies include hiking, traveling, and watching movies.

Amy is one of our highly efficient hygienists - a wonderful addition to the talented team here at East Park Dental. She qualified at Leeds University with a diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy back in 2014 and since then has been working on the complete range of oral hygiene treatments, including periodontal and restorative treatment for both adults and children, as well carrying out treatment on children’s primary teeth. Amy loves to make use of our glorious local countryside, taking long walks with her faithful dog Jess.

Kate is an enthusiastic, experienced Dental Hygienist with sympathetic and friendly patient communication skills. She particularly prides herself in making nervous patients feel at ease and alleviating patient fears of attending a Dental Hygienist appointment.

Her primary focus is on preventive oral hygiene advice and patient education as she believes this is the key to long-term oral health. 

Kate also has extensive experience in treating periodontal disease and dental implant maintenance. 

After working as a dental nurse for 12 years, she then trained and qualified as a Dental Hygienist at The Eastman Dental Hospital in 2006.

Kate lives in Buckingham with her husband Nathan and two young children, Zoe & Noah.

Lauren joined our team in June 2020, initially providing maternity cover for Amy after qualifying from Plymouth University, and is now a permanent fixture here at EPD.

Prior to this, Lauren worked as a dental nurse which gave her a great understanding of the profession. She enjoys both the hygiene and restorative aspects of her clinical role and gets a lot of satisfaction from putting the more nervous patient at ease and helping them overcome any dental fears.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys practising yoga, walking her Corgi and spending time with her friends and family.

Nicola joined the EPD team in 2019 and brings with her a wealth of dental experience, after starting her career as a dental nurse. She has gone on to gain additional qualifications in Radiography and Impression Taking, as well as a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.

Nicola is to be found most days ensuring the smooth running of the practice and is also available to talk you through any queries you may have.

In her spare time, Nicola enjoys playing volleyball and walking her Springer Spaniel. She is also a keen Leicester Tigers rugby fan - but we'll forgive her for that as she is from Leicester!

Tracey’s been with us on reception most mornings since 2015, working as part the team welcoming our patients and scheduling their treatment. She's a fully qualified dental nurse too, and has held the NEBDN qualification since 2011. Tracey is another of our keen bakers, and juggles cakes, scones and flans with bringing up her young family.

And no, unlike the other Tracey Chapman, she doesn’t have a fast car...

Northampton is our Michelle’s adopted home – she grew up on remote St Helena before moving to the UK in 2000, when she began serving as a dental nurse in the RAF.
Michelle went on to be a dental nurse trainer before joining us in 2009 and is now our Head nurse, overseeing the nursing team to ensure our high standards are maintained.

Meg began her dental nursing career in 2012. She gained her Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2015 and joined the East Park Dental team in 2016. As well as being fully qualified Meg is also certified to apply fluoride varnish, take clinical photographs and take dental impressions.

Meg works with us full time and you will see her working alongside one of our principal dentists, Joanna Stock, three days a week. When Meg isn't in surgery she is busy helping the reception team and dentists with admin (or as we call it 'Megmin'!) and organising our social media.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her fiance and family exploring different places around the world, visiting London theatres and simply enjoying some well deserved 'me' time!

Melanie is the newest member of our team. She has just moved from Perth, Western Australia to settle here in Northamptonshire. Melanie has been working as a dental nurse for the last five years after qualifying with a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly cosmetic and restorative procedures and making patients feel at ease in the surgery.

In her spare time, Melanie enjoys attending church activities, exploring the English countryside and playing board games for hours on end!

Dudley retired on 19th December 2017 and has begun retirement in style with a 3 month trip to Nice. He is much missed around the practice and promises us he misses us too (when he manages to spare us a thought in between the trips to Monaco or lunch in Italy!)

Dudley earned his dental stripes in London in the late 1960s, and settled in Leamington Spa where he ran a highly successful dental practice for many years (and started a family which includes daughter Jo, also a dentist here at East Park). Dudley took his expertise to Germany in 2006 and owned a practice there, too. Returning to the UK ten years later, he set up home not far from the waterside in lovely Hamble, Hampshire, where his passion in sailing. When he’s not doing his weekly 250 mile round trip to East Park Dental, he’s dreaming up new dental names for his boats. His current craft is called ‘Extract’... say no more.

Jim retired in May 2017. He is much missed by patients and staff alike but we wish him much happiness in his retirement.
