COVID-19: Update 4
28th May 2020
We would like to let you know that behind the scenes we are working very hard, carefully researching and planning how we can reopen. There will be some changes within the practice in the short term, and for as long as these measures are needed. We are planning a phased reopening, beginning with seeing those patients with dental emergencies, then routine appointments and non-aerosol generating procedures (AGP’s) i.e. avoiding treatments that create water spray, before progressing to reintroducing AGP’s.
Some other changes include extending our opening times to limit the number of patients in the building at a time, thus reducing contact and allowing extra cleaning time, and ensuring we have the additional required personal protective equipment (PPE). We will give you full details once our plans are finalised.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation whilst we implement new measures at the practice. You may have heard that dental practices will be reopening on 15th June, and whilst this is yet to be confirmed within the profession, and by our regulating bodies, this is an approximate date we are working towards. We are very much looking forward to being able to reopen our doors to you, and would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and patience, during this difficult and challenging time.
